Horan rules out donegal managers job
James Horan has ruled himself out of the running to become Donegal’s next senior football team manager.
The former Mayo boss has, in recent days, emerged as the bookmakers’ favourites to succeed Jim McGuinness. This morning he is reported as saying he is taking a year out from management.
Mayo fans appear to agree with his decision. In an online poll on The Connaught Telegraph’s website, 42.9% of respondents felt Horan deserves a break from football. Just 14.3% felt he was the best man for the Donegal job.
The majority said the position should be given to a Donegal man.
