Tv3s lazy chef visits mayo
EPISODE two of The Lazy Chef on TV3 - airing tonight (Thursday) at 8.30 p.m. - sees Simon Lamont visit Mayo.
The mix of flat terrain, rolling mountains and rugged coastlines of Mayo offer up the perfect conditions for some of the ingredients featured in this episode, including fish and mountain lamb.
Simon gets straight to work for his dinner as he fishes in the Atlantic Ocean, catching some wonderful mackerel and pollock. He rustles up a quick lunch of mackerel on the cliffs of Clare Island, and then it’s straight to the kitchen to prepare his effortless Sticky Fish Noodles that will satisfy any busy family.
Also in tonight's episode - the second of six - Simon tries to herd some of the famous Achill Mountain Lamb before foraging in the grounds of Westport House. After finding some of the wonderful herbs on offer on the grounds, Simon heads back to the kitchen to cook his easy Low and Slow Roast Lamb.
