Dancing at lghnasa
Ballina Arts Centre welcomes back Riverside Theatre Group this weekend to present their production of Brian Friel’s masterpiece Dancing at Lúghnasa.
The play will be staged at 8 p.m. today (December 5), tomorrow (Saturday, December 6) and on Sunday (December 7).
This talented group have already captured a growing audience with their productions of Doubt, Sharon’s Grave and Peg o' my Heart.
Now, theatre-goers have much to look forward to with the Riverside production of this multi-award winning play, directed by Ray Collins.
Dancing at Lúghnasa was first produced in the Abbey Theatre in Dublin in 1990. It transferred to London's National Theatre in 1991, winning the Olivier Award for best play, and subsequently to Broadway where it won the Tony Award for best play as well as a Drama Desk Award nomination for outstanding play.
