File being prepared for dpp in mayo carjacking

A FILE is being prepared for the DPP on an incident in Castlebar on Friday night last in which a man and a woman were forced to drive two males to Ballinrobe.

The pair were parked at Tesco when they were accosted. It is understood they were not injured.

In a follow-up garda operation in Ballinrobe on Saturday a male was arrested and questioned under the Criminal Justice Act.

He was later released without charge. A file is being readied for the DPP.
