106 new hse posts for mayo

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has announced 106 posts in Mayo health services. The 106 new people to be employed by the HSE by mid year comprises of 56 replacement posts and 50 new posts.

Commented Mr. Kenny: “This is good for the health services of the county. We will continue to work to improve all areas of the health service. It is an ongoing job which both myself and Minister Varadkar are very focused on.

“The posts announced cover both a range of locations and a number of different roles within the sector. They include staff nurses, clinical nurse managers, care workers, occupational therapists, two consultant psychiatrists and others.

“Recruitment is ongoing and it is expected that all roles will be filled by the middle of this year.”
