Hmv and xtravision to host hometown whistlestop tour
New boyband Hometown will undertake a whistlestop tour of HMV and Xtra-vision stores around the country this week, visiting nine outlets over a five-day period.
Fittingly, Castlebar's HMV/Xtra-vision store is on the itinerary - they play the venue today (Monday, March 30) at 1 p.m. Band member Cian Morrin is a native of Castlebar, so this is a 'hometown' gig for him for sure.
The tour continues until Wednesday (April 1) and the band will sign copies of their brand new single, ‘Cry For Help’, and meet fans in the stores.
The other Hometown members are Brendan Murray (Galway), Dayl Cronin (Tipperary), Dean Gibbons (Dublin), Josh Gray (Wicklow) and Ryan McLoughlin (Kildare).
Their debut single, ‘Where We Belong’, which went straight to the top of the Irish charts, becoming the fastest-selling single from a debut artist and the quickest selling single from an Irish artist in 2014.
Hometown are also about to embark on a series of live gigs around the country, including Castlebar's Royal Theatre on Sunday next, April 5.
