New job for mayo gaa boss
THE joint manager of the Mayo senior football squad, Pat Holmes, has been appointed chief executive officer of the Western Alzheimers Association, based in Ballindine.
The Moygownagh-born man is leaving his role as an area director with the Ulster Bank to take up the post and succeeds John Grant, who retired two months ago following long and active service.
The holder of an MBA from Ulster University, Mr. Holmes, who resides in Castlebar, will bring a wealth of experience to the position.
He will also continue in his job as joint manager of the Mayo senior GAA squad with Noel Connelly.
