Grand opening of renewed ashford castle

An Taoiseach Enda Kenny visits Ashford Castle today (April 17) for the official opening of the 'renewed' hotel.

Ashford Castle claims it is now fully restored to its historic splendour.

The castle has 68 guest rooms with spectacular views as well as 14 luxurious staterooms and suites, and is home to Ireland's first School of Falconry.

 

The hotel, located on 350 acres of ancient woodland by the shores of Lough Corrib in Cong, regularly hosts royalty, dignitaries and celebrities.
