Spectacular 10 years for specsavers
SPECSAVERS Castlebar is celebrating 10 years in business this month, having proudly served the local people of Castlebar since the store on Hopkins Road opened in 2005.
Store directors and locals, Rachel Murphy and Niamh O’Connell, along with their team of experienced optometrists, audiologists and highly trained optical assistants, have proved an integral part of the community’s eye and ear care, bringing exceptional optical and hearcare services along with stylish yet affordable eyewear to the town.
From routine eye examinations to complex contact lens fittings, Specsavers Castlebar can provide all aspects of professional eye care.
With the most up to date equipment including retinal photography combined with constant professional education and training, Niamh and her fellow optometrists are actively involved in diabetic and post cataract screening as well as the ability to detect many serious sight threatening problems.
To celebrate 10 years of Specsavers Castlebar being a part of the community, the store is holding a birthday party and fundraising coffee morning on Saturday next, May 2, in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.
Last year, Specsavers Castlebar, along with Specsavers stores nationwide, committed raising €100,000 in aid of a new ophthalmology unit at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, and having proudly raised almost €1,500 to date, the store continues to engage in fundraising activities for this much needed cause.
To get into the party spirit, Midwest Radio will broadcast the popular ‘Country Classics’ show from Specsavers Castlebar on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be lots of prize giveaways throughout the day, including opportunities to win pairs of designer prescription sunglasses - perfect for these springtime rays - together with a chance to scoop tickets to see Connacht take on the Ospreys at the Sportsground as part of the Guinness PRO12 series.
Prizewinners can choose from a fantastic range of designer prescription sunnies from brands such as Karl Lagerfeld, John Rocha, GW by Gok Wan, Jeff Banks, Cheap Monday, Missoni, Tommy Hilfiger, Karen Millen and Roxy. The festivities will continue throughout the day with in-store face painters that the kids will love.
Specsavers Castlebar welcome children of all ages for both eye testing and frame selection. Dispensing optician Ashling is available to advise parents on frame suitability and to discuss lens options for each individual prescription.
The team at Specsavers Castlebar are healthcare professionals that pride themselves on providing the best possible healthcare service for eye and ear health to customers.
With rigorous training programmes in place for staff and investment in the best technology available, Specsavers is always striving to improve its service for the people of Castlebar.
