A wet bank holiday lies ahead
BRACE yourselves for a damp May bank holiday weekend.
According to Met. Eireann, tomorrow will be a cold, wet and windy day. Rain will steadily get heavier through the day.
Further outbreaks of rain will occur on Saturday evening, especially in the north, but dry intervals will develop in many areas also. Some mist and fog patches are possible as winds slacken inland.
Further outbreaks of rain will occur on Sunday, heavy at times, but some bright or sunny spells will develop as more persistent rain gives way to scattered showers.
The early days of next week will remain changeable and unsettled, with occasional showers, or longer spells of rain at times, but there will be some bright or sunny spells also. Maximum daytime temperatures will be in the low to mid teens. Winds will be mostly moderate, but indications are that it will become windy by midweek with strong westerly winds developing.
