Traffic accident victim named

THE victim of the early morning traffic accident near Breaffy, Castlebar, has been named as Margaret (Maggie) Burke from Castlehill Park, Castlebar.

The 49-year-old was a mother of four and was a native of Killasser, Swinford.

Ms. Burke died after being struck by a car near Breaffy in the early hours of this morning.

Garda investigations into the tragedy are continuing. Witnesses are asked to contact Castlebar Garda Station on (094) 9022222.
