Missing on croagh patrick
PILGRIMS on Croagh Patrick have been asked to keep an eye out for a lost dog – a Dalmatian cross who answers to the name of 'Patch'.
The three-year-old, which as its name implies, has a distinctive black patch over one eye, went missing on Sunday as its owners, the Clarke family from Westport, were scaling the mountain.
Mayo Animal Welfare has fears for the general wellbeing of the animal if it is forced to spend several nights on the mountain in temperatures close to zero.
