Emergency services attending ballinrobe blaze

THE emergency services are dealing with a major fire at McHale Engineering in Ballinrobe this evening.

The blaze broke out at around 6 p.m.

The fire services and a number of ambulances rushed to the factory, which is located on the Castlebar Road. At this stage there is no report of any injuries.

Onlookers have reported hearing a number of explosions from within the plant, which produces farm machinery.

Traffic diversions have been put in place locally.
