Breakin to ballyhaunis church sacristy

GARDAÍ in Mayo have arrested two people in relation to a number of burglaries in the Ballyhaunis area last night.

The sacristy at the local St. Patrick's Church was broken into, while break-ins also took place at two houses in the Abbeyquarter area of the town.

The two suspects were taken to Claremorris Garda Station for questioning.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity yesterday evening between 6 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. to contact them at (094) 9371222.
