Search set to continue for missing mayo woman

THE search is set to continue over the weekend for a woman missing from her Geesala home for a number of days.

A full search of the coastline and lands in the Doolough/Geesala area of north Mayo for 53-year old Margaret Carolan of Doolough, Geesala, has been ongoing today without success.

Although big numbers have been involved, more volunteers are welcome. 

Margaret is 5 ft. 5 ins. in height with long dark hair.

Gardaí are investigating two possible sightings of Margaret on Monday morning last (June 29) between 7.45 and 9.10 a.m. in the town of Belmullet.

Gardai are also appealing to anyone who may have been on the road between Belmullet and Glencastle on Monday morning last to contact them.
