Ideas generation for film and tv
AN 'ideas generation' workshop for film and television professionals will take place on October 2 in Macalla Hall, Lough Lannagh, Castlebar (9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.), as part of Mayo Ideas Week.
The training will be given by Pam Relton, one of the UK’s leading media trainers who specialises in creativity courses.
Pam worked as a BBC researcher and broadcast journalist on a wide range of output, including documentaries, features and consumer programmes. Her career in television has ensured that she has wide practical experience of programme production and she draws on this expertise in her training events through the use of stories, analogies and real examples. Her passion for training stems from a real commitment to helping people gain opportunity and inspiration. This led to her interest in creative thinking and accelerated learning techniques.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Pam's clients include BBC Academy, ITV, Creative Skillset, the Indie Training Fund, Endemol, Tiger Aspect and other leading independent television companies. She also works internationally with professionals in film, scriptwriting, animation and cross-platform teams.
This one-day course, aimed at those working in film and television, will look at generating ideas, storytelling and digital research techniques.
