Fifth consecutive primary times star award for hotel westport
EARLIER this year Mayo's footballers scooped a fifth Connaught senior title in a row and now Hotel Westport has followed suit, collecting its fifth Primary Times Star Award in succession as one of the top 10 hotels in Ireland for a family holiday.
More than 2,000 Primary Times readers voted for their favourite local family-friendly hotel in the annual reader surveys throughout the year. Scoring is based on customer service, facilities, choice and value for money, all of which gives an invaluable insight as to what is important to families when choosing to holiday at home.
Delighted general manager Declan Heneghan said: “This fifth consecutive Primary Times Star Award is testament to the remarkable consistency and dedication shown by long serving staff who are vested in the success of the hotel and its continued growth.
“The by now famous Panda Clubs are well known for co-ordinating great family activities and entertainment for those who holiday at the four-star hotel from all over the world.”
Cathal Hughes, chairman of the board of directors at Hotel Westport, added: “Hotel Westport’s ethos of continual customer care is appreciated by the customers who have used the hotel and they have articulated their satisfaction through this award.
“I am delighted at the continued success and awards that the team have achieved over the last four years, cementing Hotel Westport’s reputation as a family-friendly hotel with high standards, great facilities, staff and value for money.”
Director of sales and marketing at the hotel, Eithne Cosgrove, said that through winning these awards, her department can market and sell the hotel with greater confidence. “Customers want to be able to trust that you will deliver on standards, facilities, service and above all customer care, and these awards gives the customer that assurance to book Hotel Westport.”
Hotel Westport, family owned for nearly 50 years and located in the heart of Westport, joins Westport House & Pirate Park, which scooped two Primary Times awards this year, in the winners' enclosure.
