Call for fans tribute to darragh doherty at croke park

MAYO County GAA Board has supported former Mayo midfielder David Brady’s call to supporters of the green and red to honour the memory of Kilmaine’s Darragh Doherty in a special way at next Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final between Mayo and Dublin at Croke Park.

Brady posted the plea on his Twitter account asking that Mayo fans give a 13-second applause in the 13th minute of the game as a mark of respect to the former All-Ireland MFC-winning start who lost his life last Sunday in a car crash near Ballinrobe.

Darragh wore the No. 13 jersey in Mayo’s 2013 triumph over Tyrone.
