All set for hooley at the house
WESTPORT House is the venue for the Hooley at the House, taking place on the front lawn of the historic stately home this coming Sunday afternoon.
The day will feature some of the best Irish country music, craic and family fun. And don't worry, you won't miss the big match as Mayo versus Dublin will be on the big screen.
The line up includes Mike Denver, Nathan Carter, Jimmy Buckley, Patrick Feeney, Johnny Brady, Lisa McHugh, Declan Nerney, The Willoughby Brothers, Hurricane Highway and The Benn Sisters.
In addition to the amazing musical line-up you can visit the historical Westport House and Pirate Adventure Park free all day (usually €21 and €16.50 for adults) and for the kiddies there’s free fun galore at the Pirates Haven, on the Westport House express train, the swinging ship, plunge log flume ride and swan pedalo boats.
Gates open at 12 noon, with live music from 2 to 6 p.m.
Tickets are on sale on the day at €28.50 for adults and under 12s go free on the day - no ticket required. Teen tickets for 13 to 17 year olds are €15. Tickets can also be bought in advance in a number of outlets (recommended).
Concert goers are encouraged to travel early as delays can be expected in Westport that morning due to road closures for a National Youth Championship cycling race. There are a number of bus services operating from around the county.
