Mayos eds to play cork opera house and uch limerick

FOLLOWING the huge success Mayo band EDS (Everyday Solution) enjoyed in Vicar Street playing to 1,500 punters in August, the band has now been confirmed to play support to HomeTown at two other big venues: Cork Opera House (September 12) and UCH Limerick (September 13).

EDS are five Mayo boys, one of whom has just finished his Leaving Certificate. The five have been EDS since 2010, when they formed a band while at secondary school in Swinford.

They have played support before for HomeTown, the very successful group managed by Louis Walsh, at the Royal Theatre in Castlebar. Last month, meanwhile, EDS became one of Mayo’s first acts to play the prestigious Dublin venue Vicar Street.

The boys are currently in studio recording songs for an EP and will release their first single in the coming weeks. EDS will also play their own first headline gig in Dublin in November.
