Victim of mayo road fatality is named

THE biker killed in a road accident in the village of Lehinch, Hollymount, on Sunday has been named as Robert Wright from Stranocum, Co. Antrim.

Mr. Wright was riding a motorcycle which was involved in a collision with a van around 1.20 pm on Sunday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Married to Lorna, Robert is survived by his three children, two boys and a girl.

A highly respected and popular member of his community, Robert was a member of the Stranocum Orange Lodge.

The van driver involved in the impact received medical treatment but was not seriously injured.
