Death of popular castlebar personality

THE death has taken place of Bernard A. Murphy (better known as Bernie), 116 McHale Road, Castlebar.

One of the county town's best known personalities, he presented a very popular show on Community Radio Castlebar for many years and also wrote regularly for the Castlebar Parish magazine.  

Deepest sympathy is tendered to the Murphy family on their loss.

His funeral arrangements will be announced later.
