Search for missing fisherman continues

THE search is ongoing at Carrowteigue for a young fisherman missing since Friday.

A wide-scale search got underway on Saturday after 23-year-old local man, Daniel Doherty, failed to return after lobster fishing.

The search has been focused on an area close to where the man’s empty boat was located at Broadhaven bay.

Dive teams, lifeboats, coastguard boats, fore shore teams, local boats and the Shannon helicopter have all been taking part in the search.
