Five hospitalised after n5 smash

FIVE people were taken to Mayo General Hospital with minor injuries today (Sunday) following a collision on the N5 near Turlough, Castlebar.

The impact occurred around I pm at the junction of the N5 and the old Turlough road, close to Horkan’s Garden Centre.

The road was closed for a short time but has since re-opened.

Gardaí are looking for witnesses.
