Death of popular castlebar personality

THE death has occurred at Beechfield Manor Nursing Home, Shankill, Co. Dublin, of Michael A. Maher, Rathbawn, Castlebar, and formerly of Waterford City.

A well-known and respected member of the community, news of his passing has evoked a sense of great sorrow and loss in the county town. 

His remains will be reposing at his residence at Rathbawn tomorrow (Wednesday) evening from 4 o’clock with removal on Thursday morning at 10.15 to the Church of the Holy Rosary for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock.

Burial takes place in Slieve Rua Cemetery, Waterford, following Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 o'clock at St. John’s Church, Parnell Street, Waterford.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Maher family on their loss.
