Lee keegan did not support mayo gaa noconfidence vote
INFLUENTIAL Mayo defender Lee Keegan was one of the seven players who did not support the secret vote of no-confidence in the county's senior football management structure, writes Aiden Henry.
The Connaught Telegraph understands the Westport star has nothing but the highest regard for the present management set-up in its efforts to lift the All-Ireland SFC title for the first time since 1951.
Keegan, the holder of two All-Star awards and who was named GPA player of the month for August, didn't attend the players meeting held at Breaffy GAA Club's facility in Ballyheane on September 19 last.
Instead, he cast his vote online and was at pains to point out that he was more than happy with the present management set-up.
A source close to the player said he is already looking forward to wearing the red and green jersey in 2016.
