Passing of affable castlebar woman

THE death has taken place at Mayo General Hospital of Bernie McDonald (nee McDonnell), Greenfields, Castlebar, and late of Bohola.

The deceased was a former secretary of Castlebar Social Services Council and was very active in the ICA for many years.

A sincere and affable woman, she was held in the highest regard in the community.

Deepest sympathy is extended to her husband Padraig and family.

Her remains will be reposing at the Coady Funeral Home, Castlebar, on Friday evening from 5.30 p.m. with removal at 7.30 p.m. to her residence.

Removal from her residence takes place on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock.

Burial takes place afterwards at the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
