Death of the legendary sean kilcoyne castlebar
THE death has taken place this morning of Sean Kilcoyne, Castle Street, Castlebar.
Aged 87, he was rightly regarded as one of the true ‘auld stock’ of the county town.
A native of Islandeady, he ran a craft butcher shop on Castle Street for over four decades before his retirement 17 years ago.
He had a keen interest in politics and was president of the Castlebar Fianna Fáil Cumann. He also had a keen interest in sport.
Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Theresa, son Paul, daughters Mary, Majella and Sandra, sons-in-law. grandchildren, cousins, neighbours and friends.
His remains will be reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home tomorrow (Tuesday) evening from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m. with removal to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.
Burial takes place in the Old Cemetery on Wednesday following Requiem Mass at 11 a.m.
