Funeral arrangements for garda tony golden

THE Mayo born Garda shot dead in Omeath, Co. Louth, on Sunday evening will be laid to rest in Dundalk on Thursday.

The remains of Anthony (Tony) Golden, formerly of Culleens, Ballina, will repose at his family home in Co. Louth on Wednesday (October 14) from 3 to 7 p.m.

Removal will take place on Thursday (October 15) to St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock, Co. Louth, for funeral Mass at midday followed by burial at St. Paul's Cemetery, Heynestown.

Garda Golden, a father of three, is being given a State funeral.
