The neale gaa club have a new fan
A STRUCTURE of architectural genius has appeared in a field in south Mayo ahead of this Sunday's intermediate county football final between The Neale and Hollymount/Carramore GAA clubs.
A teddy bear sporting The Neale colours made mostly from bales of hay, of all shapes and sizes, has been created on a lofty position in a field in Nymphsfield, near the Quiet Man village of Cong.
The person behind the creation is local man Gerard Farragher.
Among the many to leave comments on The Neale GAA Facebook page was Donal Hughes, who observed: 'Amazing. And nutritious!'
Teddy is taking his newfound fame all in his stride. He's not giving any interviews despite gaining a lot of mainstream and social media attention, but with his numerous flags and green and white football ''jersey' his message is clear for Sunday's final: 'Up The Neale!'
