Death announced of man injured in cloonfad accident

A MAN who was seriously injured in an accident at a house in Cloonfad on Monday afternoon has died from his injuries in hospital.

Patrick Bowens, Meeltrane, Cloonfad, Ballyhaunis, sustained serious injuries while erecting lights outside the dwelling.

Mr. Bowens, who was in his 40s, was removed by helicopter to the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

He died earlier today in hospital from his injuries.

His funeral arrangements will be announced later.
