CADBURY'S are searching for the new Milk Tray Man and they think he might be in Mayo!

The original '80s icon returned to Irish screens this week to launch the nationwide search for a modern-day hero to take on the role.

To kick-off the campaign, Cadbury Ireland has asked over 500 Irish ladies for their thoughts. The research sees Jamie Dornan (24%) top of the pole, just ahead of fellow actor Colin Farrell (23%), as the first in line to take up the new Milk Tray Man position. Rugby hunk Rob Kearney was third on 20% of the vote.

Mayo's own Louis Walsh made the list with 2% of the vote!

Made famous for his daring escapades to deliver a box of delicious chocolates to the lady he loves, the '80s icon's exploits made a good impression on Irish women with 53% believing that the Milk Tray Man represents mystery and intrigue while a further 25% felt that he symbolised big romantic gestures.

It’s a combination of these attractive traits which saw 43% of Irish women admit to fantasising about a mystery man - despite almost half thinking that black polo neck jumpers aren’t the most attractive attire.
