Death of foxfordborn missionary

THE death has occurred at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, of Sr. Mary Rosarii McTigue, daughter of the late James and Annie, Irishtown, Foxford, Co. Mayo.

A member of the Columbian Sisters, Mageramore, Co. Wicklow, she served for over 35 years as a missionary in South Korea following the Korean War in the mid 1950s.

She was predeceased by her brothers John (her twin) and Hughie and her sisters Nora and Annie.

Sympathy is extended to her sisters Kathleen and Margaret, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, friends and religious community. 

Requiem Mass for the repose of her soul takes place at Mageramore Convent Church, Co. Wicklow, tomorrow (Saturday) at 11.30 a.m. with burial afterwards in the convent grounds.
