Castlebar pantomime to move out of town
THE Castlebar Pantomime group have got a new home - the 30,000 square foot arena at the Breaffy House Resort.
Since its revival 30 years ago the annual panto had been staged at the Town Hall for 15 years and most recently at the Royal Theatre for the past 15 years.
However, this year’s production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears will be staged at the Breaffy Arena from January 7 to 10.
Toni Bourke, marketing manager of the arena, said she is absolutely delighted to be hosting the 2016 pantomime for the first time.
She commented: 'We have capacity to seat between 1,000 and 2,000 patrons for a long-running show that attracts an audience from across the province.
'We look forward to extending a warm welcome to them.'
