Hardy bucks ride again
THE wild men of Irish comedy, the Hardy Bucks from the Co. Mayo, are back this October bank holiday Monday with a new series.
Entitled Hardy Bucks Ride Again, the show starts tomorrow evening (October 26) at 10.25 p.m. on RTÉ 2.
This time the regular cast are joined by well known Irish actresses Aoibheann McCaul from Fair City and Susan Loughnane from Love/Hate.
Besides the newcomers, all the old gang are back - Martin Maloney as Eddie Durkan, Chris Tordoff as The Viper, and Owen Colgan as Buzz McDonnell - and in between the usual mayhem and bad behaviour, the lads get caught up in a Mayo love triangle.
The Viper tries to come to terms with a broken heart whilst running his new business venture, Eddie and Buzz may or may not have met the women of their dreams, Frenchtoast may or may not be back on the sauce, and Boo and Koffi may or may not be getting married.
In the first episode tomorrow, we see that Eddie isn’t the man he used to be. Suffering from panic attacks after heavy weekends on the sauce, he feels he needs a woman’s touch to put him back on the straight and narrow and decides to have a go at winning back his ex Noreen - with disastrous results. Meanwhile, arch nemesis The Viper is expanding his weed-dealing empire with the clever use of technology.
