Rochford putting together backroom team for mayo reports
COROFIN manager Stephen Rochford is reported to be putting together an impressive backroom team as he remains one of the favourites to replace Noel Connelly and Pat Holmes as Mayo senior football manager.
Nominations for the position close on Sunday, November 1, and, according to national media reports, Rochford is hoping to keep Donie Buckley involved with the set-up and is also lining up Crossmaglen All-Ireland winner Tony McEntee as coach.
Rugby star Gavin Duffy is also being mentioned as a possibility in the set-up in a strength and conditioning role, along with Barry Solan, who was involved last year.
Rochford is the bookies' favourite for the job, with former manager James Horan also believed to be a contender for the role.
