Garda probing violent egg-throwing incident in West Mayo
GARDAÍ investigations are ongoing after two teenage girls were allegedly 'assaulted’ in Louisburgh.
The girls, 15 and 16 respectively, were in the playground/funeral home/library area when they were subjected to a ‘violent’ egg throwing incident.
The ‘culprits’ are reported to have been the occupants of a blue sports car, with lowered suspension, possibly UK or Northern Ireland registered.
The driver, a young man with a dark hoodie, was accompanied by a ‘blonde woman with her hair in a bun’.
The pair, both in the 18 to 20 age bracket, were ‘cruising’ around Louisburgh from 8 p.m. onwards.
Following the ‘attack’ a Facebook message was posted by relatives of the alleged victims seeking the assistance of the public in tracking down the perpetrators.
The driver’s female companion allegedly stood by filming while the incident was taking place.
Gardaí at Louisburgh - (098) 66055 - would welcome information.
