Nathan Carter meets some young fans in Downtown Records, Castlebar.

Showtime for Nathan as he's heading to Vegas

AFTER his busiest year ever, Irish country singing sensation Nathan Carter is planning a two-week New Year break in Las Vegas.

The 25-year-old won't take up a microphone even once during his holiday prior to an exhausting spring schedule of dates in Scotland, England, France and Germany.

He revealed in Castlebar today (Friday) that he plans to visit the sights during the day and take in a lot of shows in the city's entertainment strip after dark.

I'm going to take in a load of shows,” Nathan told The Connaught Telegraph as he signed copies of his new DVD at Downtown Records, Main Street, Castlebar.

I love the theatre stuff,” he added. “Elton John will be playing during my two-week stay, and also Rod Stewart. It's going to be a total break from me performing. I'm really looking forward to relaxing.”

December will be a hectic month for the Liverpool born star whose rise in country music has been meteoric since he recorded his blockbuster, 'Rock Me Momma', some years ago.

In the entire December I have only two days off,” he confided. “The break will certainly be welcome.”

Nathan plans a return visit to Nashville, regarded as the 'home of country' music, in 2016 to write some new material.

His Christmas concert tour, taking in venues all around Ireland, is already a sellout.
