Parent's plea over missing bag of Chrismas gifts
A MAYO parent has issued an appeal to help recover a lost or possibly stolen bag full of Christmas gifts.
Ulrich Bartels, Castlebar, contacted The Connaught Telegraph regarding the matter.
Ulrich stated: 'My daughter had brought a bag full of lovely Christmas gifts for her grandparents and aunt from Dublin on the 6.15 p.m. train from Heuston Station, Dublin, to Castlebar, on last Friday, December 4.
'Unfortunately, she forgot the bag when she left the train in Castlebar on the luggage rack above the seats. When we called into Westport the train was empty and the bag gone! Calls to the station’s lost and found department did not surface any trace of the bag.
'It was a white Avoca paper bag with several wrapped presents inside. My daughter and I are appealing to the finder to kindly return the bag to us and contact us via The Connaught Telegraph newspaper. Happy Christmas to all readers.'
