Knock flights diverted due to low cloud and high winds
TWO scheduled flights from Britain to Ireland West Airport Knock were diverted to Shannon today (Sunday) because of low cloud and high winds at the Co. Mayo airport.
The flights affected were the 2.15 pm Aer Lingus flight from London/Gatwick and the 2.45 pm Flybe service from Manchester.
However a 5 p.m. Ryanair flight from London/Stansted was able to touch down as scheduled.
All the passengers affected by diversions later bussed to Knock from Shannon.
