Funeral of Claremorris teenager who died tragically
THE funeral will take place tomorrow (Wednesday) of the teenager who died following a fatal assault in Claremorris in the early hours of last Saturday morning.
Seventeen-year-old Dovydas Jenkus, originally from Lithuania, was fatally stabbed in an incident which occurred in the garden of a house in the Claremount Manor estate on the Knock Road in the town.
He was a 5th year student at St. Coleman’s College, Claremorris.
His remains will repose at Gilligan’s Funeral Home, Market Square, Claremorris, this evening (Tuesday) from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul takes place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in St. Coleman’s Church, Claremorris, with burial afterwards in St. Coleman’s Cemetery.
A 16-year old male has been charged with the manslaughter of the deceased.
