Mayo in Operation Transformation mission

BE sure to be on the couch at 8.30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) for the first episode of Operation Transformation on RTÉ One.

After that, it's time to get off the couch and join in, with events taking place across Mayo.

There's added local interest this year, with John Conmy from Belmullet one of the leaders in the RTÉ show. The 47-year-old chef has weighed in at 22st 6lbs.

The RTÉ series is once again joining forces locally with Mayo Sports Partnership to encourage people to become more physically active in 2016.

A number of walks will take place across the country this Saturday, January 9, with Mayo walks taking place in Ballina, Ballyhaunis, Belmullet, Castlebar, Claremorris and Westport.

Erris man John is one of five Operation Transformation leaders the general public will be following on RTÉ, so make it your mission to support John in all the walks across the county.
