Gardaí probe weekend burglaries in Westport

A NUMBER of weekend break-ins in the Westport area are being investigated by gardaí.

On Saturday evening, between 5.30 and 7.30 p.m., a house at The Quay was broken into. Little of value was taken.

There were break-ins to two houses yesterday in the Slaugher area.

The first occurred between 2.30 p.m. and 6 p.m. The intruder gained entry through a rear window.

In respect of the second break-in, the intruder was disturbed by the house owner and fled the scene.
