Fresh warning to motorists ahead of more sub-zero temperatures
A NUMBER of accidents occurred on Mayo roads this morning as a result of the icy conditions.
The main Foxford to Swinford road was blocked to traffic for a short period due to a single vehicle collision.
Emergency services attended the scene and one person was removed to Mayo University Hospital.
An orange snow-ice warning remains in place for counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo with snow accumulations of between four and eight centimetres expected.
