Death of affable Castlebar woman

THE death has occurred of Bridie Gibbons (née Gorman), Garryduff Park, Castlebar, and formerly of Newtown, Clogher, Claremorris.

An affable and courteous woman, she had worked as a psychiatric nurse for many years and was held in the highest regard within the profession due to her total dedication to her patients.

News of her passing came as a great shock to the community at large.

Her remains will be removed to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, on Monday morning at 10.30 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin, arriving for committal service at 3.30 p.m.

Deepest sympathy is extended to her husband Joe, son Russell, daughters Jennifer and Johanne and six grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother John and sisters Anne, Kathleen and Margaret, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, her extended family and a large circle of friends.

Bridie was predeceased by two sisters Lillian and Maureen.

May her gentle sou rest in peace.
