Kenny won't be drawn on FG/FF alliance
THE votes in the general election are still being counted around the country but Enda Kenny is looking ahead at forming the next government, with himself as Taoiseach.
Pressed about entering a coalition with Fianna Fáil, he said he would be waiting to see the outcome from all constituencies before analysing the various parties, groupings and individuals.
“The imperative in my capacity as Taoiseach is to have Ireland and its people provided with a government.
“The overriding requirement is that the country has a government that is stable.”
Asked about his own position, Mr. Kenny confirmed he intends to put his name forward as Taoiseach on March 10.
