Over 13,000 first preference votes for Kenny
ALL the boxes have now been opened at the Mayo general election count centre in Castlebar, with Taoiseach Enda Kenny looking likely to be elected on the first count.
Tallies put Kenny in poll position on 13,205, representing 21% of the vote. The quota is estimated to be at around 12,600.
His FG colleague Michael Ring is on 11,261 (18%), followed by FF's Dara Calleary on 9,328.
Fianna Fáil's Lisa Chambers lies in fourth position on 8,193, with Michelle Mulherin on 7,876, and Rose Conway-Walsh on 6,386. Jerry Cowley is on 3,437.
With all boxes now open, the official count will get underway at 2 p.m.
