Mayo band to play Ulster Hall, Cork Opera House and Olympia
MAYO band EDS continue to make headway and will play some of Ireland’s largest venues this month.
The fast-rising quintet are playing Belfast’s Ulster Hall on March 15, Cork Opera House on March 18 and the Olympia Theatre in Dublin on March 19 in support to former Westlife singer Shane Filan.
EDS will also play their own headline show at the Grand Social in Dublin on March 20, with tickets on sale now for the gig.
EDS have enjoyed runaway success in recent months. They sold out two headline shows before Christmas in Dublin and in Mayo, and have continued to gig across the country since, supporting Louis Walsh’s band HomeTown.
The tours have followed the huge success EDS enjoyed in Vicar Street in August, playing to 1,500 punters. The band completed big touring dates with HomeTown, the very successful group managed by Louis Walsh, playing in venues all across Ireland.
The five members formed EDS (Everyday Solution) while at secondary school in Swinford and have continued since finishing the Leaving Cert, gigging across the west of Ireland initially before touring further afield.
Tickets for the 6 p.m. all ages show on Sunday, March 20, are on sale via Ticketmaster for €14. The Grand Social is one of Dublin’s most popular and fashionable music venues, located in the city centre right at the distinctive Ha’penny Bridge on Liffey Street.
