Michael Ring predicts a May general election
MAYO-based acting Junior Minister Michael Ring has this evening predicted another general election in May.
The Westport TD told Midwest Radio that it's the only option if a new government cannot be formed within the coming weeks.
Minister Ring said Fine Gael is prepared and willing to go into government but he’s not in favour of a minority government.
He added the electorate deserves a stable government to continue Ireland’s growth.
The only parties that can provide stable government are Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil together, an alliance to which Fianna Fáil is totally opposed.
