Westport cinema set to reopen

THE cinema in Westport looks set to reopen.

A West Mayo Municipal District meeting heard today that discussions regarding Westport cinema are at an advanced stage, with a view to opening sooner rather than later.

Councillor Tereasa McGuire said the news was a welcome boost for the town, with a cinema a vital part of the overall tourism product of Westport in addition to it serving a local need.

Westport Cineplex closed in October 2013.
